मध्य पुरापाषाण काल के शल्क उपकरण (खुरचनी, वेधनी, नुकीले औज़ार) मुख्यतः लेवालुआ तकनीक से बनाए जाते थे, जिसमें शल्क निकालने से पहले क्रोड को तैयार किया जाता था।
